Our Story

In 1992, our wife and mother, Marg, was diagnosed with MS. As everyone does at the time they are given news that they do not expect, we cried, we got mad and then we decided that we were not going to allow this to bring us down.

We started to ride in the local bike tour for Multiple Sclerosis and over a 10 year period our family had raised in excess of $100,000 for MS research. As it was getting harder to get old bodies on a bike for 200 kms so we looked at different ways that we could raise money.

As our family enjoys playing golf, in 2004 we founded the “MS Driving Fore A Cure” Golf Classic Tournament.     Over the past 19 years we have raised over $237,818.00. The difference with this tournament is that the funds raised do not go to research, instead the funds go to families and individuals living with MS to enhance their quality of life and enable them to keep the family unit together.

"The Quality of Life - Community Fund Account"

The funds raised are placed in The Community Fund Account at the Alberta/NWT MS Office. This is a Provincial Fund, the funds raised by all of you is now open to all individuals living with MS throughout the Province. Your continued support now allows us to help more individuals that require assistance to stay in their homes.

Without the support of friends like you, we could not have been able to make the difference in the lives of those living with MS. For this we are forever grateful.
